ACUPUNCTURE AND PYSCHOTHERAPY
I have found that Acupuncture as an adjunct to Psychotherapy to treat mental disorders is very effective. In my past research study, ( Inner Balancing Touch Acupuncture as an Adjunct to Emotional Intelligence Psychotherapy to treat Prolonged Grief Disorder), the Psychologist found that the patient was able to be more relaxed, grounded and opened. Therefore able to address their deep feelings more effectively and process the grief in an effective manner. This allowed the Psychotherapist to address their issue effectively. In result, enabled the patient to return to an adjusted life without thei loved one.
NATIONAL ACUPUNCTURE DETOXIFICATION ASSOCIATION (NADA)
When I went to New Orleans in September 2006, one year after hurricane Katrina with Acupuncturist Without Borders (AWB) I was introduced to the NADA protocol. The protocol was used in a group setting for emotional trauma, stress and anxiety. NADA was developed and first used in 1973 by Dr.. H.L. Wen. It was again used in 1974 at Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Bronx, NY at the methadone program by Dr. Michael Smith. It was used as an aid for withdrawal and detoxification symptoms from drugs, tobacco and alcohol abuse. These symptoms include, Headaches, anxiety, emotional instability, sleep disturbances PTSD, The protocol was found to decrease relapses. The treatment consists of five needles in each ear and should be retained for forty-five minutes, in a seated position. If there is fear of needles, there are alternatives. This is an effective and drug free way to combat the national Opioid epidemic. One great benefit is that multiple people can be treated simutaneously.

It has been found that a person does not need to have a history of drug abuse to benefit from the protocol. The protocol is excellent for emotional trauma, survivors of terrorist attack and mass shootings. The treatment benefits people in a high stress life style and all the symptoms which develop , such as low energy, palpitions, mental fog, emotional instability, insomnia, dream disturbance, anxiety, survivor’s guilt, grief and mental instability. The protocol is found to produce a sense of well being, mental clarity, and more. Many people report feeling recharged, safe and undisturbed sleep was achieved.
